Cairn presents

Hi everyone! I'm enjoying the pictures! I must be a bad mommy because neither of my 2 got any presents. But we visited my niece who has a 2yr Jack Russell - Cooper. The girls kept stealing his rawhide and then he would tear into them - bare teeth and all - he even took some fur off of Annie. They took it in stride. We had a 4-hr drive home and they have been exhausted. I took a picture of them in Cooper's hat that went with his Elf costume. So I will post them soon. Take care.

The guy at the pet store told me the "hide a squirrel" was next to indestructible-I just laughed! I love all of your pictures-sorry we didnt get a chance to take any-my husband and I have been working so much overtime the last five days since we got hit with a record snowfall, but I've really enjoyed looking at yours. Hope all of you and your pups had a wonderful Christmas!

Oh puh-leeze! Lemme tell ya - Scully got that on Saturday and last night chewed a hole in one squirrel's stomach and started in on the tree trunk. Wish my camera was working I'd take a picture of it. Surgery to be performed this evening on said items!

Yep...I have a fresh sewing needle all ready for the "booboo" bees, the birds without beaks and I'm sure when I'm able to get the hide-a-squirrel, there will be parts ready for sewing.

Indestructable....are they insane??

I don't have any pics of Piper opening her gifts. I know, I'm a bad Cairn mommy. :( I only took pics of my three boys opening their presents and that kept me busy!! But here is our 2004 Christmas pic:

Yes, they're 10 years old. The oldest is 14. Piper is 1 1/2.

Thank you. I'm quite proud of my boys. And Piper! :halo:

First off, Mama Kim, your boys are so handsome! That's a great picture! I didn't get a good one of all of the cairn girls together opening their new toys, so I'm posting this "posed" picture of them w/ some of their new toys. Abbey already has a hole in her stuffed candycane. She likes to pull the stuffing and squeaker out of some and just play w/ the lining. It's so much fun watching them steal eachother's toys and run. Wish I had a picture of Hannah in the lead w/ a toy and Abbey and Kiara right on her heels. :D

Beth, that is an adorable picture of your sweet little angel Cairns.:halo::devil:

And Scully's Mom, don't let that picture fool you. She's really not that well-behaved.:wub:

WOW! That is a great picture, I can't believe it. I want to know the secret as well as to how you did it. That picture belongs on a calendar!

For those asking how I get my cairns to stay. Kiara is great when it comes to staying INDOORS, just really have to work w/ her w/ the outdoors. :D I always position her first w/ a "stay" command and then call Abbey and Hannah over and w/ both hands I push them into a "sitting" position. I keep telling them to stay as I talk to them and start clicking. I probably took at least 8 pictures to get just one of all of them looking at me. Afterwards, they know it's a mad dash to the treat jar.

Hi y'all!!!

Thought this might be a good first post to jump right in on.

This is my 14 year old Cairn, McMurphy, my lil' ray of sunshine

And this is a picture of Maddie, my lil' soulmate dog

maddie2.gif

She passed away last year and I thought I'd never want to get another Cairn, because none could ever live up to her. As time rapidly ticks off on Murph's life though, I know I'm going to have to have another Cairn someday. Just can't imagine life without a happy, happy, never ending tail waggin' Cairn in it.

Welcome ParNone and Murphy (with a tip of the hat to Maddie's memory). Those videos are a hoot. I particularly like Murhpy carrying around his toy and the teeter video. (A copy or link of that should be sent to Bette at puppybutt.com. )

Murphy looks like he provides entertainment for Gull. A retired lady used to live next to us - she spent all day every day on her back deck in a chair, smoking. One day she called over to say, "Those dogs sure are a lot of company, aren't they?" Well put. They are indeed.
