Cairns2 - Your poem actually made me cry!!!! Reminded me of my childhood dog Although she was not a cairn she was a wonderful dog.

We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made.

Man, some terrific haikus you all are writing. Beautiful, funny, sad, and so-very-true. Don't forget to count your syllables - ones in the 5-7-5 format will transfer into the polls. I'm enjoying them all, no matter. Hope you are too!
