Gracie'sMom
I miss my puppy -- she is at the vet getting spayed and I can't get her until tomorrow. I never realized how much life she adds to the house! I have another dog...even she is dopey today. I felt like such a mean mom this morning. After Gracie went out to do her duty she immediatly ran to the treat bucket for her good girl treat...well you know the rule. No food after midnight the night before. She kept following me around like "hey, didn't you forget about something?" On the bright side, I called the vet this afternoon and she did just fine. Can't wait to get her tomorrow! mrskti
Oh I remember that, and yes, it does get terribly quiet! She'll be a little groggy still when you get her, but watch out the next day! Things are back to normal!!! Terry, mom of Dori and Ellie Mae
Eliz222
I'm so glad to hear that Gracie is going to be ok! It's stressful when our babies are at the vet's, but it sounds like she is in great hands!
CathyAnn
I know that 'quiet' and just hate it, too! Bet she'll be just as happy, if not happier, to see you tomorrow!! Good to hear your baby did well with her surgery!! Cathy P.S. Just a suggestion....you might wanna have some extra chews to help keep her calm, at least as calm as Cairns can be.....hehe. Scully'sMom
That silence is not good and is deafening isn't it??? My husband and I are leaving a week from Saturday for a cruise and Scully's staying home with her Grandmom. I've only been without her for two days. toomanypaws
Hopefully by the time you read this, you'll be on your way to the vet to pick up Gracie. I know how you must feel. I'd be at a loss w/o my Cairn's noise. I'm glad she did well and that she'll soon be home. <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/maiwag/terriersiggy.jpg" border="0" class="linked-sig-image" /> Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)
savannahsmom35
Glad that Gracie did well. She will be back to herself before you know it! We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made. -M. Guest Darcy's Mom
So glad to hear she is doing well after her surgery. I'm sure you got the talk from the vet about keeping her "quiet" for a few days. Yeah, right. Also, no jumping on or off of furniture. No going up and down steps, etc. Try telling that to a Cairn. Or a Jack Russel for that matter. Darcy was hard to watch after her surgery but Molly was impossible! She (Molly)split her stitches and we had to take her back and have her stapled. She still didn't slow down one bit. Hope Gracie's recovery is speedy and I know you'll be glad to have that Cairn "noise" back after you pick her up at the vet. Isn't it amazing how much they are missed when not around?
