Thank you all for the kind words. I guess I am still missing her terribly sometimes. She was with us from 6weeks old and the twins were 1. She was such a special dog. It has been almost 3 years, and sometimes, I catch myself looking for her. When I wondered through the house working, she alwasy knew what room I was in and would sit outside that window. It always brought a smile.

PS~

perhaps I will try one of the boys one day! If I can get them to sit still long enough for a decent paintable picture......LOL

Beautiful picture and a very touching story.

PS-I would LOVE to be able to paint like that! What talent you have!

We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made.

The beauty and serenity in that painting gives me peace. I am sure painting it helped you get through the pain of losing her. Thank you for sharing this treasure with us.

Oh abe's dad, I love that painting. What a true treasure. You really captured the majestic, serenity of the Collie and that ever vigilant watchfulness they possess. I've a huge soft spot in my heart for all Collies and Cairns, having shared my life with both. Don't think any two other breeds compliment each other so well as the Collie and the Cairn. Two incredibly special breeds indeed.

HI...I am the Queen of Collecting... ....I wish I could share all my stuff with you but its just too large.

I have been in Cairns for over 27 yrs. and from shows to gifts I have got lots of Cairns and a lot more also of just terriers. In the antique shops and flea markets and garage sales I find that most of the "old" stuff is scotty or wire fox, but they are terriers and fit right in. Seldom do you see any real Cairn things unless its a Wade Cairn.

Wish I could show them all to you...

Hi Windy,

I agree w/ Brad, please share some of your precious collectables.

Abe's dad,

That painting is absolutely beautiful. What talent you have! I understand your pain. I lost my beloved Choc. Lab, Mousse. Tomorrow will mark 4 yrs since he's been gone, and I still miss him dearly. My sister did a charcoal sketch of him before he died that I will always cherish. I tried to take a picture to show you, but it's hard to get a good picture w/o taking it out of the glass frame. You can tell the flash is to the left, but this still shows my sister's talent.
